MatchScan is a 2 sided scanner which can automatically grade wood pieces according to color (for example on oak : Dark brown, Light brown, Dark red, Light red, Grey, White). Moreover, wood aspect (little pin knots, mineral streak, homogeneity, ...) can be taken into account in the grading rules. With the skip detection module, skip may be ignored in the sorting process.

Based on a self teaching method, MatchScan “trains” itself to grade according to your specifications. A typical integration consists of a feeding system, the scanner, and a sorting line. The system may also be used as an Add-On to a cross-cut scanner, for optimizing wood according to defects and colors.

Sensitive to small wood color variations, MatchScan is an ideal solution for panelling, handrail, flooring / parquet, furniture, doors-windows and kitchen cabinet industries. The benefits of the scanner include decreased labor costs, consistent quality, increased productivity, and higher flexibility since the grading rules can be quickly and easily modified.
